Ugh.

Now, I’m trying to focus on peace.

This just makes me shake my head.  I sort of feel like you should watch it, though.

   I realize that the 1968 DNC set some really bad precedents and every police force in the country is aware of and conducts itself in light of what happened. But what is with the GESTAPO tactics in Denver?

   Ugh.

   It’s not all bad.

   But I guess when you have protesters in a group called “Recreate68″ and you have people flagrantly flaunting their political and religious beliefs, they want to make sure things stay under their control.

   I dunno.

   I have two opinions about that video.
   a) The woman shouldn’t be pushing it with the police. Period.
   b) It’s never okay for a man to hit a woman. This value is degraded further when it’s a man who’s far bigger than her and he’s using a club.

   I guess I’m a skeptic, but it looks staged to me…

   Violence by police during demonstrations has a history. I was in Seattle for WTO…sometimes people get what they deserve, and sometimes police use excessive force. I agree with Ash on both a & b. I also want to throw in a c.

   c)As a member of the peace keeping force, stay calm, as a member of the demonstrators don’t make the peace keeping force lose their calm. Tisk for task.
