I'm a Colorado Amazon Associate sickened by this whole fiasco with the cancellation of the accounts of Colorado Associates. But contrary to the claims of many on the left, Amazon is NOT to blame.

The Colorado government -- our legislators and governor -- created this mess by its imposition of an "Amazon Tax" with HB 1193. Given its Colorado-based affiliates, that law would have crippled Amazon with an onerous and expensive confusion of red tape, plus a crazy patchwork of local taxes. To extricate itself from that mess, Amazon had to terminate the Affiliate Program.

If you want to help pressure the Colorado legislature to repeal this awful law, please join the low-volume e-mail list, NoAmazonTax:

I really, REALLY wanted to like this book more than I did. Something about the writing simply failed to engage me and I can't really say why. It was well-written about about a subject I really like, but it just left me feeling...eh....and that is worse than if I had really disliked the book.

Maybe I should read it again.

GG
PS, thanks for checking out my blog!

I can just read your cat's mind as you went to the closet to flush out the mouse ... "Oh, yeah, sure. NOW you get it. Well, YOU deal with it - because I expended WWWAAAYYYY too much energy trying to get your attention. I have stuff to lick now."

And thanks for the link to my story - as i re-read it, i discovered a misspelling that I'm going to go take care of, now.

Patch chased a mouse UP THE CURTAINS once... I didn't realize mice could run up curtains, but I'm telling you, they SO can...

It was perched at the top on the rod holding onto the curtain and Scott reached up to brush it to the floor where the cat sat waiting. Instead of waiting to be thrown to the floor, the mouse with nothing to lose LAUNCHED into the air directly at ME.

*insert girly scream complete with chair dance*

I am NOT afraid of mice. Terrified FLYING mice with no options however are just not the same thing! Ha!

How come the ugly ones always have "E" names and the pretty ones always have names that make them sound like cheerleaders?

You need a story about a couple of super ugly witches named Brandi and Lindsay.... and their incredibly lovely, talented, and beautiful sister witch... Elenore or Ethel or EL.... El is a hawt name...

Although I must say.... please don't clean your house too much. I'm pretty sure we have an allergy to "too clean"... At least that's what I keep telling Scott... Otherwise he'd just think I was lazy....
