Completion: how to experience happiness…
Posted in: Law of Attraction, Perspective by POHA on January 19, 2008
The future has yet to happen, and therefore you must take full creative authority to paint a picture of what you want from it.
In this country, we can be anything we want.
I’ve learned a lot in the last six months… about myself, about my ability to create what I want, about the pointlessness of guessing what this life will bring to me. All I know is that I’m truly blessed, and that great things happen. Magnificent things happen. It is inevitable, because I look for them– I affirm that they do, and so therefore, that is exactly what I get. I have a certain amount of control– of responsibility for my outcomes, because I pick my goals and my attitudes towards my experience. This, I think, is the secret to happiness.
Joy is a choice. I know that with all of the decisions I have about life, I could choose one of two outcomes: to experience this life and enjoy it or to experience it and be filled with fear and regret. Creators are the ones who experience joy, and victims experience fear. All things break down into these two categories.
All of our life breaks down into the fulfillment of needs. How can one experience joy when their needs have not been met? This depends on the attitude of the one who is experiencing. We have a hierarchy of needs– first of physical completion and second of spiritual and emotional completion. When you are lacking, it is a decision on how you will feel about the needs which have not been met. Are you hopeful of these needs, or are you worried about not having them? If you are hopeful, by nature you will be open to allowing the completion of your needs. If you are worried or fearful, you will not be open to them when the opportunity of completion presents itself to you.
One of the most basic results of completion of physical needs is health, or wellness. This is of both mind and body.
With completion of physical needs, the next level of needs opens itself up for completion. It is automatic, upon completion of the physical needs, if there is an attitude of hope and joy, that the emotional and spiritual needs will also be open to allowing completion. At that point, the feeling of happiness is inevitable. This is not to say that one cannot experience happiness until you are complete on all levels. It is to say that when you experience an attitude of joy, one then allows themselves to experience happiness and completion.
I believe that we have been misled by our culture in believing that happiness is dependent on being complete. It is actually the other way around. Completion is caused by happiness, which is a personal decision.

Well said, Ash. We always get to choose, and we may as well always choose to be happy.
