I try to be logical.  Analytical.  Rational.  However there are so many experiences that life has in store for me that are absolutely NOT of that nature.  Love and fear are two very specific examples of experience that do not follow those clean cut objectives of logic, analysis and rationality.  Love and fear are pretty much the basis of all other emotions, and therefore it follows that emotions are not naturally logical, analytical nor rational.  Life is about moderation and balance.   This understanding comes from my logical being.  Moderation and balance mean that I must use both logic and emotion in equivalent parts, so as to not be primarily either one (logical) or the other (emotional). On the same sentiment, life cannot be lived to its fullest if you don’t experience emotion. Life without Love isn’t living.  Life without Love is one of the saddest things ever.  It’s very similar to the Christian perspective that life without God is Hell.  It’s the same concept, different semantics. So, about this emotion…I seem to have written a lot about my emotional experiences recently.  Honestly, I am the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life.  I feel like I’ve finally cracked my way out of my cocoon, pushed my wings right through the sticky, crunchy blanket that kept me warm and safe all this time… and as I push out further and further, I feel open and vulnerable– at the most vulnerable I’ve ever been.  And I look down below me, and I realize there isn’t something protecting me from the elements– there’s so much room to fall down– so much depth to cover before I would hit the ground if I quit beating my wings… and at the same time, I look out around me, up above me, and I can see that I’m flying.  I’m soaring across this vast, beautiful earth with nothing– not even gravity– hindering me from my travels and adventures. It’s breathtaking. And scary. As I’m flitting along this adventure, I’m exhilarated by the ride.  Sometimes there’s a breeze, and it blows me one way or another, and I get this adrenaline rush because it feels so good to just let go and glide to whereever this life takes me. Of course, that, too, is frightening because I don’t want to be pushed too far off course from my goals.  Again, it’s a balance between my emotions and logic. Where are my Libras when I need them?
