Simply less clutter.

Life Add comments

My new mantra: “Make life more simple.”

I was cleaning the bedroom yesterday. As I was looking at all the clutter everywhere, I kept repeating this to myself.

Making life simple translates into being clean.  Simple clean means less clutter.  If I can get rid of something, then I will!

It’s a very slow process.  I’m collecting things to put into the Good Will box.

Wine bottles.

Trinkets.

Picture frames.

Buddha figures.

Penis-handled coffee mugs. (will they even take this?)

Things I just don’t really truly need.

Makes me smile.

I’ve been trying to declutter my home for the last week. It seems to multiply! :)

    Penis handled coffee mugs.
I am wondering how you ended up with mugs like these.
Too funny!!! Good luck with the decluttering, it is awesome once it’s done with.
    xo

Somehow, Gillian, I feel like I owe you all a picture.
    Maybe tomorrow.

Penis-handled coffee mug, Lol, there must be someone somewhere just dying for one of those. Great post. I know what you mean about clutter, for me when I have a good clear out somehow my mind seems clearer too.

    Exactly, Carol.

Sometimes, when I have a million things to do, I have to clean up first. Somehow my mind works better when I’m not trying to focus on one thing but continue to be distracted by pet hair/dust/smells…

I’ve been trying to declutter my life too, but progress is slow. Just don’t get rid of too much, for better or worse I have very few things that tie me to my past and I regret that sometimes.

Would you like my penis-cup, Shiv? It’s not so much that I’m tied to it emotionally… it’s just. Well. It’s cute. But oh-so-tacky. :)

If I ever had another job besides Oakes Fields, it would be in the de-cluttering business. I LOVE DE-CLUTTERING. I would love to be a professional organizer. And if I do say so myself, I’m pretty good at it. I’m ruthless. Especially with other people’s stuff.

I cleaned out my friend Sarah’s room in like a half hour and ended up with like 5 Goodwill boxes. She was like, “Holy crap!”. I’m like, “oh yeah baby…I’ll throw away everything”.
