It’s Friday night, yay!!!

Here I am.

Alone.

I suppose there’s nothing wrong with that.  I’m pretty happy in my own company, and I know I’m doing this to myself because if I didn’t still have a million things I had to get handled, I’d be out soliciting my “friends” for entertainment.

So.

I guess I’m happy.

   Well, pour yourself something yummy and we’ll toast to peace and quiet? I don’t know about you, but I’m having a nice tall drink tonight - it will have vodka in it, I don’t know what else.

   You know, that doesn’t sound bad… but I promised myself I wouldn’t drink while my guy was gone… Alcohol’s a depressant, and I can’t say I need any help!

   I’m working on a summary for one of my research projects. I’m hoping that once I’m done with the summary, I’ll be more inspired to write this paper that’s already two weeks late. *grin*

   Oh, yeikes! I’m so glad I’ve taken the summer off school. Sorry, don’t mean to rub it in or anything.

   What degree are you working on? Mine’s a BS in Applied Psychology from Regis.

   LOL, technically I *have* taken the summer off. So many things (stressors) happened all at once this spring semester that I got extensions on two of my papers– neither of which I’ve finished yet. (cringe)

   I’m working on my BA in Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry. Also taking my pre-reqs so I can get in to CU’s MD/PhD program.

   I’ll be in school for a verrrrry long time.

   AND, as far as papers go, one of them has something to do with optical recognition and mental rotation. And it’s making me crazy because it’s essentially self-guided and I *get* to read a bunch of research papers. (sigh)
   The other is a lab paper for 2nd semester organic chemistry. *screams*

   Because I attend a satelite campus of Regis, I couldn’t nail down the classes for a minor - total bummer. I think I have 9 classes left to complete my degree - but I just don’t have the financial aid to do it. (there’s another thing we have in common) I will figure something out but when I’m done I hope to work as a parole officer, problem is that the positions aren’t opening up here. I may have to get my Masters so that I can become a certified counselor. Eeeek! More School!?

   I have to take Biological Foundations of Human Behavior in the fall - is that similar to what you are taking right now?

   Eeek! I feel ya lady. I have been “advised” more than four times in two different departments (Biology & Psychology) and no one said a word about a minor until, oh… this semester. I’m already a senior. That sort of irks me!! Luckily I’m one class away from completing my minor in chemistry. So, one more class!!
   I ran out of financial aid this year, too. What?! Who knew that was even _possible_?? *heh* I should’ve been paying more attention 4-5 years ago when I was learning about financial aid. Or maybe I heard it but never retained it.

   I don’t believe I’ll have the opportunity to take a rad class like Biological foundations of Human Behavior– but I have taken Behavioral Neuroscience– which is how I got into the research I’m doing outside of my curriculum.

   More school, more school. Just means we’re smart cookies!! Right?!?!?!?!
