Over The Phone
Friday, July 23rd, 2010I can hear it in your voice when you’re smiling at me over the phone.
And regardless of who you are, I hear your smile and can’t help but smile back.
Thank you.
I can hear it in your voice when you’re smiling at me over the phone.
And regardless of who you are, I hear your smile and can’t help but smile back.
Thank you.
I like the way the tulips, wrapped in pinks and purples and whites and yellows and greens, stand tall, even under wet, heavy snow.
I like the way the grass and bushes are green even when it’s sleeting.
I like the way a stranger sends me stories while I pass them in the street.
I like the way the nutmeg floats to the top of my chai before I first slurp it.
I like the way the fish greet me when I open the blinds next to their tank.
I like the way I fall asleep within five minutes of closing my eyes.
