Unspeakably Fiction

February 9th 2010 in I Made This Stuff Up

Let me tell you a little something about fiction.

It has begun.

Writing in fiction is yet another opportunity for me to express my inner most thoughts.  My stories, my collections, my ideas.

Posting my fiction here may make it difficult for you to decipher me from the rest of the posts, especially when the fiction is told from first person.

I read a many number of blogs.  In fact, if you’re a subscribed reader here, I probably read your blog, too.  Reading blogs is like people watching.  That’s probably why bloggy goodness has swallowed me since the day I discovered it.

I need to tell you.  If you’re afraid of reading my fiction, I need you to realize that it is also part of me.

My stories often have to be changed.  The names, the perspectives, the people.

Otherwise I get shitstorms.

So while some of my fiction is not based on a true story, most of it is.

I think the beauty of fiction is that it’s ALL part of me.

It’s all part of my mind.

It’s the way I process things.  The unspeakable.

Ash,
You should be careful what you post online. Plagerism is VERY easy on the internet. I would maybe post snippets, but people can always steal ideas as well. Just a note from someone who has been warned. : )

A Storyteller

My roommate brought home her friend Sam.

Sam was an attractive man. Tall, dark, and lanky, just was my type.

My roommate had such interesting friends.

She was interesting, herself. She was a peculiar, shining soul, filled with Buddhist drive and love.

Sam was her schizophrenic homeless friend.

A Big Dark Hug

Between the latest books I’ve read, such as Demian by Hesse and Chants of a Lifetime by Krishna Das, and my own personal path towards enlightenment and discovery, I have begun to realize that there is no point in trying to hide the imperfect side of me.

Obviously this may seem like something I should have learned before. Many of you have known this since you were wee babes.

But I hadn’t known it.
